Position Summary

Are you ready to embark on a dynamic career journey as a Technical Packaging Specialist (TPS)? At Sealed Air, we're seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team. As a TPS, you will be working closely with our sales teams to deliver exceptional service, provide technical support, and drive the growth of cutting-edge packaging solutions.
Your mission as a TPS is to not only install and maintain packaging systems but also to create lasting relationships with both new and existing customers. You will act as a consultant, guiding our customers in optimizing their packaging materials, equipment, and processes. Additionally, you will be tasked with surpassing annual sales forecasts for our Product Care solutions within your designated region.

Territory: Kansas City, Missouri. 25% overnight travel required.

Job Description

1. Installation and Training:
•    Be the expert in packaging systems, installing them at customer locations within your region.
•    Empower operators by providing comprehensive training on system capabilities, safety procedures, and efficient packaging processes.
•    Offer prompt, expert responses to customer inquiries regarding equipment, health, safety, and environmental concerns.
2. Service Excellence and System Maintenance:
•    Showcase your mechanical expertise by efficiently repairing and troubleshooting equipment.
•    Proactively identify potential issues, recommending enhanced policies and procedures.
3. Consultative Customer Relationships:
•    Understand and address customer needs and challenges, forging enduring relationships that position you as a trusted advisor.
•    Encourage customers to explore system upgrades and stay ahead of industry trends.
4. Nurturing Sales Opportunities:
•    Uncover new packaging solution opportunities within existing accounts.
•    Offer additional service agreements, spare parts, cutting-edge products, equipment, applications, and upgrades.
•    Prepare quotations to propel sales growth.
5. Efficient Management and Collaboration:
•    Maintain documentation through our CRM system.
•    Ensure seamless inventory tracking, problem resolution, and timely completion of travel and expense reports.
•    Collaborate with internal teams to enhance our overall performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required.
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • A proven track record of electrical and mechanical expertise and troubleshooting skills.
  • 1+ year of experience with MS Office tools.
  • Possess a valid US driver's license.
  • Be ready to travel daily and, on occasion, stay overnight for meetings, training, and service coverage.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings and troubleshooting charts.
  • Excel in building strong relationships, collaborating with customers to solve problems, and influencing decision-making.
