Summary

Maintain installed fleet of equipment, install new equipment, and actively participates in the resolution of equipment breakdowns or issues with installed fleet.  Plan for customer services and spare parts required for services to be carried out well in advance.

Responsiblities

  • In coordination with pre-sales, sales and customers, provide a fast responding support.
  • Provide maintenance and installation for fleet of equipment in SADC region. 
  • Evaluate customer needs, define their expectations, plan and organize services, maintenance or installation work.  
  • Provide a full technical service on a planned maintenance basis in respect of all equipment installations in working hours and after hours.
  • Troubleshooting and dealing with any breakdowns of equipment.
  • Extensive technical liaison with customers on an advisory and diagnostic basis across a full spectrum of customer technical personnel.
  • Spare parts ordering, including administration of all necessary documentation and quotations/pricing of parts and services.
  • Ensure that the required spare parts are available before servicing of equipment is conducted.
  • Providing quotations to customers for spare parts and services required.
  • Initiating technical service reports identifying technical deviations and initiating necessary actions.
  • Review customer needs and prioritize work assignments.  
  • Ensures customers are provided with quality services and equipment in compliance with Company and external standards, reviewing all documentation of installations, modifications, services, corrective actions and other activities.
  • Troubleshoots technical equipment problems and provide technical guidance where necessary.  
  • Extend best in class value add to the markets we serve. 
  • Develop & boost cooperation and solutions with strategic partners.
  • Sell preventative maintenance program to customers.
  • Complete service tickets in C4C for all services completed and spare parts sold.
  • Maintain a positive cost coverage.
  • Ensure all expenses are submitted on time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree/Diploma/ Qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • A recognized technical competency / qualification in electrics / electronics / pneumatics
  • Electrical experience
  • Mechanical experience
  • Pneumatics experience
  • PLC experience
  • 5 years experience advantageous
  • FMCG experience advantageous
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
