Job Description
The QEHS Senior Assistant helps to manage the day to day business policies, processes and procedures and build our position within ‘Best in Class’ Business Management Processes. This role will support the Management Team by maintaining the QEHS Systems. This position also requires the individual taking an active role within the plant, to ensure H&S and Product Quality is always maintained to the highest possible standards throughout the business. This position requires a forward-thinking individual with a ‘Can Do’ approach and the ability to deputize for the QEHS Manager when required.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist with the maintenance of QEHS, systems and procedures for the plant and ensuring we are compliant.
- To assist with our internal audit procedures for QEHS and record keeping.
- To assist with the management of external audits including QEHS.
- Assist with and/or lead risk assessments throughout the plant, with a target of reducing associated risks.
- Ensure that manufacturing, supply chain and design/certification processes meet the required standards.
- To assist with the improvement of the quality management procedures through analysis of performance and data following through with the implementation of identified actions.
- Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met including following up on customer returns and permanent corrective actions.
- Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers and ensuring that these are fully adhered to by the suppliers.
- Ensure that internal quality and safety standards are achieved, positively identifying issues and swiftly resolving these through improvement processes.
Qualifications
- Experience and / or knowledge of Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Management Systems.
- A high standard of written and spoken communication skills.
- The incumbent needs to have a good understanding of Microsoft Office including data processing.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
