Position Summary

Embark on a rewarding career as an Extrusion Operator, where you'll be responsible for the safe operation of plastic extrusion equipment. Your role includes precise adjustments of gauges to control extruder speed, temperatures, pressures, and winder speeds. Contribute to our commitment to quality production while prioritizing safety and efficiency in a dynamic work environment. Minimum starting pay: $21.28 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Produce orders to schedule to satisfy customer needs and production requirements.
  • Perform production execution of product labeling and production entry.
  • Complete all required Quality inspections, testing, and documentation.
  • Comply with Company standards regarding housekeeping and 6S on machines and surrounding areas.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Perform duties of other team members as required during breaks and absences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Requirements:

  • 1- 3 years’ experience as a machine operator with knowledge of process equipment, tooling and procedures in order to set up, operate, and maintain equipment work area in a safe, productive manner
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with good communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Basic math, reading, computer and analytical skills (SAP and Excel experience preferred).
  • High awareness towards safety and ability to analyze and solve production facility problems.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and independently.
  • Able to work 8 or 12 hour shifts, overtime and on weekends.

 

Other Requirements:

  • College-level courses or trade school preferred.
  • Operate cranes, forklift, and other related equipment.
  • Basic understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting weights over 30lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
