Job Description

The Global Operations Process Leader is responsible for working closely with regional and plant leaders to diagnose and resolve issues impacting operational performance. Examples of these issues include rate, yield, crewing, and quality challenges which have a material impact on FPMP or Supply Chain performance. In addition, this role supports the identification and spread of best practices globally. 

 

Specific activity includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Performing “Deep Dive” analysis into operational issues to identify root causes alone and in partnership with plant resources including engineering and PILs 
  • Facilitate Plant to Plant sharing of best practices. 
  • Provide insight to senior leadership for operational improvement opportunities. 
  • Own tactical and strategic projects for plants and regions. 
  • Perform ad hoc data pulls and analysis using SAP, PowerBI, and various support programs. 
  • Participate in Financial Management calls by having reviewed monthly trends and understanding categories which are over/underperforming. 
  • Integrate with Manufacturing Process Groups as contributing member providing data, insight, and ownership for operational opportunities. 
  • Define, in collaboration with central OpEx, the Performance Management System elements and indicators that need to be consistently applied throughout the MPG 
  • Partner with Operations Leaders to complete improvement efforts in a timely manner.    
  • Analyze key business metrics and problem solve to increase performance.   
  • Teach, demonstrate and Coordinate Lean implementation and activities on the shop floor such as Kanban, Material Conveyance, Production flow, Super Market design and deployment, Value Stream Mapping, Takt time analysis, Problem-Solving, Standardized work, Set-up reduction, 5S, Visual Workplace, and Error-Proofing, 5S, TPM, SMED/QCO, Visual Factory, Kaizen, Scheduling, etc. 
  • Assist plant Lean teams in sustaining gains achieved in Lean efforts. Support management team in identifying and implementing best practices  
  • Contact for overall Lean improvement plan development and implementation   
  • Lead Kaizen events as and where needed 
  • Manage follow-up of multiple projects at different production Sites 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • 10 years of experience in Project Management and Continuous Improvement  
  • BSC, Master or PhD in Sciences, Engineering, Business  
  • Six Sigma Black Belt  
  • Lean Expert 

 

Candidate Profile: 

  • Advanced Training in Lean methodologies, 5S, SMED, VSM, Kaizen and other continuous improvement methodologies 
  • Good understanding of financial measurements and goals in a fast-paced business 
  • Process improvement experience with demonstrated successful, results-driven application 
  • Operational experience - operations leadership, process engineering, Supply Chain experience 
  • Demonstrated success in leading and driving sustained change on the shop floor 
  • Experienced in training, facilitating, and coaching of Lean concepts to all levels of an organization 
  • Has led/participated/directed 50+ kaizen events on the shop floor and the ability to regularly work on a manufacturing floor
