Job Description

- Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions - Conducts nondestructive examination (NDE) and quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards - Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards - Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards. Starting Wage: $21.28 per hour plus shift premiums.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of materials and products for compliance with Company, regulatory and industry standards, policies and procedures.  Follows procedures based on site and Company quality directives and initiatives and/or regulatory agency requirements.  Enters and maintains necessary data and documentation of inspections.  Generates and provides management reports of inspection data and results.
  • Assists Quality Manager with investigations initiated by quality control events, Works with manager to plan investigation steps.  Assists with investigations and root cause analysis, and creates recommendations for corrective actions.  Creates investigation reports and reviews with manager.  Enters, monitor and tracks data from implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assists Manager in providing raining to site employees in quality issues as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor preferred.
  • Experience: 0 to 5 years
  • Computer knowledge (Excel, Work, SAP)
  • Knowledge of inspection processes
  • Mechanical aptitude (use of calibration of gauges)
  • Strong math & analytical skills
  • Able to follow written instructions, procedures
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work overtime
