Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee all production areas, including Injection Molding, Assembly Operations, Secondary Operations, and Warehouse activities during a rotating night shift schedule.

 

Schedule Details

  • Shift Pattern: Rotating night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
  • Schedule Rotation: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off (repeating weekly)

Pay rate: $27.00
Shift differential: $2.00

 

Essential Responsibilities

Safety Leadership & Compliance

  • Champion and enforce Liquibox safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective training as needed
  • Maintain 5S standards and proper housekeeping across all production areas
  • Actively participate in plant-wide safety programs and safety committee meetings
  • Ensure OSHA and industry safety standards are consistently met

Quality Assurance Management

  • Oversee shift product quality and verify all required documentation (start-up checks, process sign-offs)
  • Address Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCARs), and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
  • Implement quality control measures across injection molding and assembly operations
  • Ensure adherence to ISO standards and quality management systems

Team Leadership & Personnel Management

  • Direct shift workload distribution and ensure appropriate staffing coverage
  • Process electronic timecard approvals on weekly and bi-weekly schedules
  • Train, coach, and develop production team members to maximize performance
  • Manage PTO scheduling for shift personnel
  • Address performance issues, document disciplinary actions, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment aligned with company values

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in molding and assembly operations
  • Implement strategies to reduce scrap rates and increase production efficiency
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical and leadership capabilities
  • Optimize workflow processes and production scheduling
  • Support lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction efforts

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field

 

Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a production environment
  • Background in one or more of the following areas: Assembly Operations, Injection Molding, Quality Control, Material Handling, or Warehouse Management
  • Experience with shift supervision and team management preferred

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) a plus
  • Knowledge of production scheduling and inventory management
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology
