Job Description

The International Logistic Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of inbound and outbound freight for the Liquibox Madrid site. The main role responsibilities are obtaining quotes for domestic, European and international transport movements, working with haulage partners to arrange freight and the provision of correct and accurate import and export customs documentation for the wide range of geographical locations served by the site. 

Essential functions & responsibilities:

  • Quote and book international outgoing freight (Ocean, Truck or Air)
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate shipment and delivery of customer orders
  • Accurately complete customs & export paperwork (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc) appropriate to the receiving customer/country. 
  • Coordinate closely with the shipping plant, planning, purchasing and customer services teams to ensure efficient, cost effective and timely inbound and outbound shipping to facilitate excellent customer communication around delivery times.
  • Resolve nay delivery relate issues with haulers
  • Arrange transfers for external warehouses and service providers as per business requirements
  • Approve and sign off freight invoices bases on agreed quotations
  • Seek out and implement any potential process improvements to aid efficient and cost effective working

Qualifications

Solid experience in Logistic, working with international and domestic shipping, all modes (air, ocean, ground).

Experience in the provision of export documentation to a range of geographical locations

Experience in ERP system (Oracle preferred)

Strong communication skills

Strong organitational skills

Bi-lingual (English/Spanish). Other languages an advantage

Attention to detail

High level of professionalism

Ability to wor well within a team
