What does a Business Process Audit Specialist do?

The Business Process Audit Specialist will help us in performing specific audit procedures or audit projects of SEE’s departments, divisions, subsidiaries to determine compliance with established policies and procedures, to evaluate internal controls and processes, and to make recommendations for improvement. The person should be willing to travel up to 10%, including international travel; by possessing several years of previous work experience testing business controls (SOX) with Big 4 accounting firm preferred; targeting to the world class manufacturing.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Complete pre-audit activities assigned by the Senior Auditor, audit program development, audit requests and communications of objectives to audit customer before audit commences. 
  • Perform detailed testing of transactions across various business and operational processes.  Prepare working papers to document procedures performed.
  • Assess results/impact of testing and identify deficiencies or concerns.  Assist with developing reasonable and cost-effective recommendations to address each.
  • Assist in preparation of audit report for review.  Assist in contributing to the closing meeting with audit customer management to discuss audit results and issue report.
  • Capacity to function in a high-performance culture including the ability to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision.

What are we looking for in you?

  • 2 years previous work experience in accounting or finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years previous work experience testing business controls (SOX) with Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
  • Achievement of or progress toward CPA, CMA or CIA preferred.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and GAAS
  • Proficient English writing and communication skills required.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel and MS-Word required.
  • Strong analytical, financial analysis and problem-solving skills required.
