Cost Accountant

What does a Cost Accountant do?

SEE is looking for a motivated and experienced Cost Accountant. You will be part of the team to support our dynamic business.

The main responsibility of this role is to provide financial analysis and support on product costing, inventory planning, and fixed asset management.

Key responsibilities are:

• Perform product costing to support pricing decisions. Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure cost data integrity.
• Perform cost run for new SKU codes and re-roll of standards with 100% accuracy, perform costing data maintenance in SAP.
• Maintain inter-co data in SAP including delivery cost and markup and resolve price discrepancies related to inter-co invoices.
• Interco sales billing factor setup with appropriate approval and communication
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare detailed cost reports to assist management in making informed decisions.
• Conduct variance analysis between standard and actual costs, investigating and explaining variances to assist management in controlling expenses and improving cost efficiency.
• Assist in the review of inventory records and cycle counts.
• Asset management including maintenance of CAPEX / PPM
• Identify and implement process improvements in cost accounting procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall effectiveness. Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline operations.
• Support internal control audit and external audit.

What are we looking for in you?

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• At least 3 years of work experience in costing, preferably in a multi-national or multi-location business
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills; advanced Excel skills and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment; able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to organize, manage and prioritize work for self; able to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong people skills and experience in working directly with management.
• Strong analytical skills including financial planning analysis.
