Qualifications
The IT Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the organization's cybesecurity strategy to protect it's digital assets and data. This role onvolves managing a team of cybersecurity professional, assessng and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatios and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy algned with business goals.
- Assess emerging threats and adapt strategies accordingly
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
- Implement measures to mitigate identified risks
- Estblish and enforce security policies, protocols, and best practices
- Ensure policies are updated in response to changing regulatory and threat landscapes
- Manage and mentor the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of security awareness
- Oversee training programs to enhance staff understanding of security practices
- Develop and maintain an incident response plan
- Lead investigations into security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement as needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA)
- Conduct regular audits to assess the effectivenes of security protocols
- Work closely with IT, legal, and othr departments to integrate security measures
- Serve as primary point of contact for cybersecurity issues within the organization
- Provide regular updates to senior management on cybersecurity status, risks and incident reports
- Preare reports for external stakeholders as necessary
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related courses
- With at least 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity and at least 3 years of experience as a Manager with direct reports
- Relevant ertifications (e.g CISSP, CISM or CEH) is preferred
- Proven experience in cybersecurity management or a similar role
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and risk management methodologies
- Excellent analyitical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection and systems, etc.)
- This position is typically requires a combination of office work and remote management
- Occassional after-hours work may be necessary to address urgent security issues.
