What does an IT Operations Platform Support Manager Do?

  • Manage the IT platform operations team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  • Define and implement the IT platform operations policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on the IT platform operations metrics, such as availability, performance, capacity, and incidents.
  • Ensure the IT platform operations comply with the IT governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the IT platform operations budget and optimize the IT platform operations costs.
  • Manage the IT platform operations vendors and contracts, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of the IT platform services.
  • Manage the IT platform operations projects and initiatives, and ensure the alignment with the IT platform roadmap and architecture.
  • Manage the IT platform operations risks and issues, and implement the IT platform operations contingency and recovery plans.
  • Manage the IT platform operations innovation and improvement, and identify and implement the IT platform operations best practices and opportunities.
  • Manage the IT platform operations communication and collaboration, and foster the IT platform operations culture and values.

What are we looking for in You?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT platform operations, including at least 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in IT platform operations technologies, tools, and methodologies, such as cloud computing, visualization, automation, orchestration, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, IT service management, ITIL, DevOps, and Agile.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in IT platform operations domains, such as network, server, storage, database, middleware, application, security, and data.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in IT platform operations standards and regulations, such as ISO, COBIT, PCI, GDPR, and NIST.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including strategic thinking, decision making, problem solving, team building, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong customer service and quality orientation, and ability to deliver IT platform operations excellence and satisfaction.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple IT platform operations projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and ability to leverage IT platform operations data and insights.
  • Strong innovation and continuous improvement mindset, and ability to drive IT platform operations transformation and optimization.
  • Certifications in IT platform operations technologies, tools, methodologies, and domains are preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
