What you'll do:

Oversee the quality standard of the organisations engineering and manufacturing processes across all manufacturing process groups. Create documentation for quality assurance testing. Develop, implement, audit and update quality standards and quality control systems. Root cause analysis, fault finding, corrective actions are essential lead skills required or the continuous improvement of the quality process with Autobag. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assure a quality oversight of manufacturing, storage and transport activities
  • Support in the development, maintenance and update of the QMS
  • Setting up and managing quality control systems, regular specification reviews audits. ensuring quality system remains fit for purpose, reviewed regularly and updated accordingly
  • Perform regular quality checks, inspecting and testing samples of products, auditing of processes, process capability and adherence to the standard
  • Identifying inconsistencies and faults and finding the cause. RCA, EMEA, CPK, CTQ tools and techniques essential. Implementing corrective / preventive actions at fast pace, with solid robust actions, record events and show development, and measure / track improvements over time
  • Ensure compliance with quality specifications by the inspection and testing of materials, equipment, processes, and products at different stages
  • Gather relevant data to prepare detailed quality standard and technical reports and submit them to the Senior Management - Pareto, RCA, CPK, KPIs
  • Check qualifications and validations of certification, report back to customers of RCA, CAPA, 8D, ETQ systems to manage customer expectations to related quality concerns
  • Carry out and follow-up of internal and external audits with suppliers and customers, to include off site visits to audit and quality inspect products in the field
  • Transfer to sell-able stock of product received from suppliers against respective Certificates of Analysis and approved packaging  
  • Support in various operational issues in relation to customer service and supply chain 
  • Checking that production methods meet relevant legislation 
  • Keeping accurate results of checks and tests carried out, report findings and setting corrective action, RACI, co-ordinate / lead projects of defined finding, DMAIC, PDCA 
  • Perform work in accordance with regulation and permits
  • Collaborate with suppliers, managers, and other personnel to meet organisational quality standards. Lead CAPA and AIMS weekly / monthly meetings to ensure details are cascaded, actioned, and followed through to make quality awareness key focus within plant
  • Support PPM/PAR/CAPEX projects for plant based QA improvements

What you'll need:

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of inspection processes and test equipment
  • Substantial experience of operating in an ISO9001 Quality Systems, environment ISO14001
  • Engineering / Technical degree preferable  
  • Knowledge of quality tools for fault diagnosis and root cause analysis 
  • Experience of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles (desirable)
  • Confident addressing and managing non-conformities and explaining any issues clearly to the relevant teams impacted, conducting any resulting investigation 
  • Experience of conducting root cause analysis, and internal and external audits
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines 
  • Ability to review and interpret data for analysis and presentation of RCA, FMEA, continuous improvement, and preventative / corrective actions 
  • Able to define, lead, co-manage projects with multiple process groups 
  • Ability to generate detailed, high-quality documentation 
  • Ability to work with others in analysing and solving technical problems 
  • Good understanding of English, both written and verbal 
  • Able to communicate effectively with management and colleagues within a multicultural workforce 
  • Good numerical, organisational and record keeping skills 
  • Able to work quickly and methodically and maintain an elevated level of concentration at all times 
  • Able to follow instruction and show initiative where needed 
  • Flexible and positive attitude towards work
