Position Summary

Lead and manage technical service of the company’s food equipment platforms within the defined geographical area. Ensure consistent, profitable growth in equipment part sales and service revenues. The main responsibilities are to manage the service personnel in their work to provide technical service and support to Sealed Air customers on equipment that runs our film, bags and other materials (consumables).

Job Description

  • Manage Technical Service Reps (TSR’s) within region. Help them grow sales and protect SEE business interest (7-12 employees depending on the region).
  • Work with and Support Sealed Air (SEE) Sales teams in driving new sales opportunities through the selling of equipment, parts, services, and customer projects.
  • Establish, communicate, implement, and track TSR performance objectives. Special emphasis is placed on providing clear direction on expectations, performance accountability, and efficiency performance results.
  • Provide team and individual coaching activities to ensure all personnel are performing as required. Establish, communicate, and manage the team / individual goal development process to ensure team and individual performance and professional growth objectives are met.
  • Manage all cost / profitability / budget activities in accordance with the annual business plan to ensure the actual results meet or exceed the stated objectives and guidelines.
  • Support innovative existing solutions for customers in your region to optimize operational efficiency and product protection
  • Develop requirements for service levels by developing a service strategy to assure they are in line with local and national service standards.
  • Promote multiple cross-product opportunities and projects.
  • Interact with national and regional sales, distributors, manufacturing, marketing, sales coordinators and customer service to enable an appropriate level of customer support.
  • Coordinate equipment installs with your team of technical service reps (TSR) and with other regional TSR’s to insure efficient use of resources and labor.
  • Track and communicate issues with customers in your region. Work with engineering, marketing and the local Sales team to find innovative solutions to the issues.
  • Develop strategies on service levels for all Customers and coordinate these strategies with other regional and national directives and/or plans.
  • Develop metrics to monitor the success of your regional service strategies for all customers and programs.
  • Identify and communicate with local customer contacts on your teams' service objectives, strategies, and accomplishments.
  • Work with marketing to provide feedback on markets, sales trends and customer feedback to assist in the building of the Sealed Air brand.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree; MBS preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in people or project management
  • 3+ years of MS Office Suite
  • 2+ years of Distribution sales
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel 50-60% (3 days per week)
