Job Description

Sealed Air is looking for a results-driven Account Manager to join our Canadian Sales team, focused on Alberta with a strong concentration around Calgary. In this role, you’ll manage and grow a mix of existing and new customer accounts by delivering high-performance, value-added packaging solutions. You’ll lead strategic initiatives, coordinate with a dedicated support team, and travel throughout the territory to build strong, solution-based partnerships. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter with a proven sales track record and a passion for driving customer success.

 

  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Director for Canada, the successful candidate will be skilled in selling new products, applications and value-added products and services in Alberta to an existing and new customer base.
  • Must possess the ability to identify, execute and quantify value actions and projects to ensure success of both the customer base and Sealed Air.
  • Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Develop, maintain and grow territory of both established and new customers.
  • The individual will also be responsible for coordinating the efforts of a sales support team for this territory.
  • The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, encompassing oral written, and computer, as well as strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • High level of integrity and self-discipline is a must.
  • This person will be a road warrior traveling to accounts but will work from home if not traveling
  • Periodic overnight travel is required. 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree 
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in selling high-performance value-added products 
  • Experience in packaging and/or fresh food packaging is preferred. 
  • A demonstrated track record of success in increasingly progressive sales positions. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills to interact with customers, internal support organization and field support group. 
  • Solid financial business acumen including analytical skills for tenders, budgets and customer sales agreements.  
  • Strong computer skills in SAP (or a similar ERP system) Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and CRM system. 
  • Ability to effectively work in a large Company within a matrix organizational structure.  
  • Commercially competent, with a capability to be involved in negotiating customer contracts for major accounts. 
  • Experience with packaged perishable protein products and/or Vacuum / Sealing packaging equipment is a plus
  • Valid passport and driver's license are required
