Position Summary:
The Technical Service Rep provides technical service to Sealed Air customers within our Tennessee territory, thereby promoting the use of Cryovac packaging materials and equipment systems. Position further supports the Sales organization through timely completion of service call reports, value projects and other required documentation.
Territory: 1/2 of Tennessee from Nashville- East. Central KY up to Horsecave and two accounts in IN.
Job Description
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support for packaging equipment at customer facilities using Cryovac materials.
- Timely completion of all administrative reporting.
- Advise customers in establishing preventative maintenance programs and spare parts requirements.
- Work with Sales to define and capture value created through Service activities or special projects.
- Assist with the installation of Cryovac equipment and provide customers with training on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Inform customers of safety regulations, technical information, modifications and improvements.
- Assists sales in supporting new products and opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and servicing industrial equipment, preferably in a food processing plant.
- Mechanically and electrically inclined and innovative
- Possess a valid US Driver’s License
- Ability to travel overnight around 20% of the time
- Technical school preferred
- Willing to work weekends as needed.

- Professional attitude and be self-motivated/directed
- Time management, communication skills, decision making, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills
- Computer technology experience – Email, Excel, Word, Google Apps, CRM
- Ability to work cross functionally to achieve company goals
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Commercial or Industrial troubleshooting, installation, servicing and programming
- Experience in food packaging or other related experience
