Job Description
APPLICATIONS ENGINEER FOOD PACKAGING - GERMANY (Permanent / remote position, in south of Germany)
In coordination with the sales force, you will provide fast responding customer support, monitoring and optimisation of Sealed Air products, systems and applications.
What does a applications engineer do ? Why you ?
Support Sales in the promotion of Sealed Air products to the market and provide sales argumentation.
Implement customer training and quality audit programs.
Regularly monitor products/systems at customers, support development of new applications.
Improve packaging process system performance and product quality.
Complete robust packaging trials and technical reports.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and institute a wide range of technical solutions
Manage projects for which he/she has specific responsibility as Team Leader or Team Member, ensuring timely progress
Liaise with European R&D and local Sales Organization for a coherent approach to customers, whenever a new product/system has to be tested, validated or introduced.
Requirements:
• Institute of Packaging Diploma or Chemical Engineering Degree or relevant experience.
• Experience of working on projects with our retailers and to have an understanding of associated development processes, would be an advantage.
• Experience with packaging materials and equipment in the food industry.
• Independent, able to work with a remote Manager.
• Excellent technical problem solving ability with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Team player able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to interact with people of different cultures and backgrounds.
• Prepared to travel extensively within the zone and occasionally across Europe..
