What does an Automation Engineer do?

The Automation Engineer is responsible for executing the design, implementation, test and start-up of complex control, information and automation systems working in a project team environment, across Europe, Middle-east & Africa region

Why we need you?

  • To manage the process control section of capital projects (architecture, control strategy, software development, testing).
  • To issue technical specifications of capital projects (new equipment, safety and obsolesce upgrade).
  • To define guidelines and standardization in the area of process control systems, to drive the company culture in that direction for Europe, in alignment with global teams.
  • To develop and then drive the deployment or control architecture which are quicker to install and easier to duplicate/deploy.
  • To raise the bar of “windows inside the process”, by developing standards and practices about sensors and process gauges to be installed on our process equipment.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Engineering, preferably specialty in Automation
  • Experience in industrial process control system realization, from design to commissioning
  • Good knowledge of CE Directives and Risk Assessment methodologies
  • Excellent reading capability of electrical and pneumatic diagrams
  • Production line commissioning capability
  • Good knowledge of Network and Industry 4.0 principles & tools is considered a plus
  • Strong project management and relationship building skills, outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work in team and result oriented
  • Highly self-motivated and self-starter
  • Fluent in English
  • Availability to travel within EMEA and occasionally outside. Sometime for extended period during project installations.
