Job Description:

Works in team environment to inventory, ship and receive manufacturing products with use of forklift to meet customer needs. As a team member, will assist or conduct administrative services, team interview/hiring, training, and team member accountability.

Starting Pay: $19.00

Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Forklift operator is responsible for the accurate storage and delivery of finished goods to the customer. This responsibility includes the performance of those tasks necessary to achieve proper Warehouse operation.

•    Knowledge of shipping / receiving / inventory control principles and practices 
•    Interpret and use bill of ladings; orders 
•    Load and unload delivery trucks
•    Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and any visible damage
•    Safely drive forklift and change batteries as needed
•    Operate shrink wrap machines 
•    Deliver materials/supplies to manufacturing processes as needed
•    Stage pallets for shipments
•    Coordinate shipments / deliveries with trucking lines and customer service
•    Daily interaction with SAP systems 
•    Communicate with Production Control regarding shipment status / changes as needed
•    Create shipping labels to ensure accurate shipment of product
•    Serve as a point of contact for customer service regarding product shipment status
•    Operate specialized equipment necessary for safe efficient completion of Warehouse processes
•    Self-manage and work harmoniously in team environment
•    Perform other duties as requested or needed to support the team environment
•    Perform Product and GFSI (global food safety) duties as required
•    Serve on a Team Resource Committee as required

Interaction required with:

•    Team members
•    Vendors
•    Customer Service

Physical Requirements:

•    Occasional bending and lifting of items up to 50 pounds as needed (Lifting of items exceeding 50 pounds but less than 100 pounds will require a two person lift)
•    Sit for extended periods of time; able to climb up into forktruck
•    Push/pull objects as needed
•    Drive a forklift (with training)
•     Utilize fine manipulation skills (including but not limited to the use of a   
      utility knife, scissors, tape measure, typing, writing, and hand tools)
•     Must be able to distinguish colors for product quality purposes 
•     Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and
 management at all levels 
•     Must be able to follow all safety processes and procedures
•     Utilize communication skills to effectively express both oral and written 
       ideas individually or in group settings
•     Utilize interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with a variety of 
       individuals and groups
•     Work overtime and weekends as scheduled

Qualifications:

•    Associate Applied Science Degree or equivalent work experience
•    Working knowledge of computers and basic keyboarding skills
•    Process manufacturing experience
•    Proven ability to perform basic math and measurement tasks
•    High school diploma or G.E.D. required
•    Warehouse experience preferred
