About the Role

The Market Research Insight Manager will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary research focused on consumer, sector, customer, competitor and industry trends that will be used to shape the regional business and portfolio strategy of the One SEE business across Asia.

This role will lead our various initiatives to capture, analyze, and communicate market focused insights to drive understanding of current and emerging consumer and market/sector trends across markets and channels. Insights and competitive intelligence gathered will inform the protective business unit's current business and future vision.

The Market Research Insight Manager will collaborate closely with regional and global business leaders, marketing, product and sales teams so that they can make more informed decisions. The Market Research Insight Manager will lead the information synthesis required for successful market mapping and segmentation as well as provide insights for Innovation and Product Development. The Market Research Insight Manager will partner with product management to build business cases for new product development.

Job Description

Design and execute market research-related activities that connect internal and external customer, channel, and consumer desires with the development of new products and services.

  • Consult with internal clients to assist them in defining their research needs, identifying and executing the appropriate research methodology and translating the data into actionable insights.
  • Developing and executing qualitative and quantitative consumer research projects using the following methodologies customer immersion/observation, focus groups, consumer intercepts, one-on-one interviews and surveys (phone, internet, mobile and written).
  • Gathering and analyzing secondary research to identify new business opportunities that align with SEE's strategic growth objectives.
  • Identify key insights as a result of data analysis and recommend actions when appropriate.
  • Defining markets, market sizes, customer segments and personas, competitive landscape and decision journeys.
  • Establishing value prop definitions by segment.
  • Write and present key findings to management and cross-functional partners.

Develop meaningful, actionable market analysis that shapes and supports a wide variety of marketing initiatives.

  • Collect accurate data and insights to better inform marketing, I&D, portfolio management and sales teams
  • Increase usage of insights and competitive intelligence in sales and marketing decision-making.
  • Regularly track and report performance marketing.
  • Map and monitor relevant market indicators.

Position the market research department as the leading organizational provider of commercial intelligence.

  • Conduct in-depth interpretation of field data using quantitative analysis.
  • Act as a key representative within the global and regional Protective division to provide leading organizational product and competitive intelligence.

Perform special projects as required.


  • BA/BS in business, management, psychology, mathematics, economics, statistics or equivalent training.
  • MBA or Master's in Market Research highly preferred.
  • Work experience in marketing or consumer research or related field.
  • High level of analytical ability.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others on a global basis.
  • Strong level of communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills.
  • Ability to produce results in a customer-oriented environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments.
  • Exceptional work ethic.
  • Meat industry, retail, foodservice and/or packaging experience a definite plus.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
