What does a Regulatory Affairs Manager do?

The Sealed Air Regulatory Team is looking for a motivated and experienced Regulatory Affair Manager to join our Innovation & Development department. The Regulatory Affairs Manager, located in Shanghai China, helps us on the execution of the company’s regulatory activities to ensure compliance with all main regulations in APAC countries. Reporting to the Director of International Regulatory Affairs, you will also help to bring Sealed Air products to global market,  targeting to the world class manufacturing. 

Why we need you?

  • To use your professional knowledge in food science and technology to will lead and coordinate the Regulatory Affairs activities in China, ensuring compliance with current legislation and guidelines in the target marketing regions.
  • You will be an advisor in supporting Innovation and Development department and advising on regulatory requirements during product development processes.
  • You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of food packaging material regulations in China and knowledge of other relevant APAC legislation on food contact materials to ensure that company policies and procedures in the regulatory affairs area are understood and implemented, to ensure that regulatory trends and changes are identified, understood, and promptly communicated with key stakeholders, and to ensure a safe and incident-free working environment.
  • You need to prepare technical documents and manage database systems to allow traceability of technical and regulatory information on materials and products, and to prepare response to regulatory Authorities and queries within assigned timelines.
  • You will be an excellent communicator in presenting documentation to regulatory agencies and carry out any subsequent negotiations necessary to obtain or maintain authorization for products or technologies. 
  • You will be a strong project manager by demonstrating strong project management, writing, coordination and execution of regulatory items, with an emphasis on technical and scientific regulatory activities.
  • You will use your knowledge in Chemical regulation preferable with toxicology experience to propose testing and analyze scientific data required to assess and ensure compliance.
  • You will act as a liaison between the organization and local authorities to submit required forms and paperwork to ensure business continuity by influencing policymaking by doing advocacy and ensure that the position is appropriately resourced and equipped to carry out the required range of activities.
