Job Description

Greenville is located in upstate South Carolina and nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  It is an outdoor recreational paradise with big-city amenities and small-town charm.  From modern restaurants in the historic downtown district to new homes in the surrounding suburbs, you’re sure to find a place to love.  

 

What will you do: 

  • Develop innovative solutions to support SEE Simpsonville’s Extrusion, Printing, and/or Converting processes
  • Seek and implement automated solutions that generate safety improvements, quality improvements, and cost savings with minimal operator intervention
  • Design, develop, install, and transition new automated solutions
  • Lead modifications to existing processes to reduce operator touch points
  • Ensure automation solutions are robust and operate consistently with minimal manual intervention
  • Work directly with corporate global engineering team; plant engineers, maintenance, and operations teams
  • This position is heavily focused on manufacturing operations and processing equipment

Qualifications

 

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong PLC programming skills 
  • A results driven attitude and innovative mindset
  • Project management experience
  • Hands-on approach to project management and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in varied manufacturing processes.  Extrusion or other continuous process experience is beneficial
  • Experience with process data historians
  • Ability to use statistical techniques and interpret statistical data
  • Successful management of projects and processes involving multiple manufacturing areas
  • A high degree of scientific, engineering, and technological expertise
