Job Description

What You’ll Do: 

We are looking for an experienced problem-solver and project manager who can build and lead cross-functional teams to address Quality problems using a data-driven 8D problem-solving methodology. This role will be responsible for the management of multiple, high priority, Quality Improvement projects of medium to large scope involving multiple sites and/or customer locations. 

 


Job Duties: 
•    Project identification, selection, and prioritization
•    Project charter development
•    Building project teams
•    Leading containment activities
•    Leading DMAIC-based Kaizen events
•    Root cause investigation activities including FTA development, trial coordination and execution, data collection and analysis.
•    Solution brainstorming and selection
•    Reporting on the status of projects
•    Assist technical leaders in achieving project objectives. 
•    Champion use of 8D problem-solving methodology through disciplined project execution

Qualifications

What it Takes (Job Requirements): 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline required
•    Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, preferably in manufacturing
•    Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred) including both statistical (DoE, correlation, Regression, Capability Analysis, Control Charts, ANOVA, MSA, etc.) and non-statistical techniques (FMEA, Decision-matrices, Process Mapping, etc.)  
•    Project Management experience required including schedule creation, use of work-breakdown structures, communication plans, etc.)
•    Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
•    Experience with 8D problem-solving
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
•    Strong ability to present technical information
•    Project coaching experience preferred
•    Strong leadership skills with proven ability to motivate, develop, and support a broad team with varied priorities
•    Ability to influence others without formal authority
•    Ability to work well cross-functionally with groups in all areas of the business 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) required
•    Experience with Minitab or similar software required
•    SAP or similar manufacturing data systems experience required
•    Experience with plastics manufacturing, extrusion, printing, or converting preferred
•    Must have the ability to work on-site in any of our manufacturing facilities


Travel Expectations: 
•    Some travel will be required for this position within the U.S. and possibly internationally. Travel requirements not expected to exceed 20%.
