Job Description

Greenville is located in upstate South Carolina and nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  It is an outdoor recreational paradise with big-city amenities and small-town charm.  From modern restaurants in the historic downtown district to new homes in the surrounding suburbs, you’re sure to find a place to love. 

 

What will you do: 

  • Develop improved methods for delivering finished product to our customers 
  • Serve as the primary driver for cost improvement projects for current and new operations 
  • Act as primary technical lead for process and equipment improvement projects 
  • Oversee equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations 
  • Interact with customers, T&I, Business Unit Leaders, and other Process Engineering functions to solve process issues, quality concerns and identify new or improved products or methods for delivering value-added products to customers 
  • Stay abreast of new equipment  / process developments in the Plastic Extrusion field 
  • Subject Matter Expert in troubleshooting manufacturing  
  • Identify and implement new/improved methods of manufacturing to improve profitability 

Qualifications


 

What will you bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a process engineer role 
  • Experience with varied manufacturing processes such as extrusion, printing, laminating, and converting 
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and tools 
  • Ability to manage a project and process involving multiple manufacturing areas, plants, and across various portions of the business 
  • Focus on critical project parameters that determine success or failure 
  • Knowledge of DMAIC methodology 
  • Background of designed experiments, Lean Six Sigma, SPC, or equivalent
