Job Summary:


The Business Development Leader (BDL), will identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow.
The work can involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, or enhancing the operation of the business, position or reputation in some way.




  • To promote SEE as the leader in large or low volume parenteral (LVP) packaging, ostomy barrier film and biopharmaceutical film through and execute the sales.
  • To become the trusted business partner for existing key customers taking a highly proactive approach to customer dialogue service and interaction.
  • Seek out and develop new potential prospects and opportunities into regular ongoing sales.
  • Raise the profile of SEE in the EMEA market and identify customer needs.
  • Inform and collaborate with I&D team on resulting new product ideas and development.
  • Explore parallel markets

Key Requirements:


  • To achieve annual sales target from the SEE EMEA Medical sales budget.
  • Take responsibility for the EMEA sales budget within 12 months.
  • Willing to travel more than 40% of the time.
  • Develop the relation with three new prospects in the first 18 months.
  • Represent SEE in international exhibitions and congresses.
  • Experience needed in the Pharmaceutical (also machine makers) / Medical sector
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) and at least one or more other languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish).

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Educated to degree level with a preference for technical matters
  • 5 -8 years experience in this space, ideally with exposure to pharmaceutical packaging technologies
  • Certain marketing background is a plus, as the role can develop into a more strategic position
  • Good business acumen through formal training or strong work-related experience
  • Knowledge in material development and commercialization of the solutions (how to develop a drug) 
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-starter, used to working in a small team and able to multi-task
  • Forward-looking thinker
  • Track record of successfully driving sales activities and projects
  • Must be highly proactive
  • Good analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
