Shift: Day
Schedule: 7 AM to 7 PM; Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $20.00
Position Summary:
Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform final positive release of finished goods before shipping
- Auditing
- Verify manufacturing documents for completion and accuracy compared to specifications
- Verify data in SAP for completion and accuracy compared to specifications
- Data collection and report generating encompassing production documentation
- Coordinate internal ISO and GFSI audits
- Maintain GFSI (SQF) and ISO programs
- Manage retained samples from production lines
- Participate in customer and regulatory audits as required
- Maintain a document control database for procedures and other documents
- Revise and modify procedures as needed
- Develop and manage required reports for meetings and projects
- Participate in Daily Integration Meetings
- Safely performs his/her work, observing all safety rules to assure adequate protection for all employees
- Reports quickly and accurately to the proper personnel when factors affecting quality, safety, or output appear to be out of control.
- Abides by the plant break policies as prescribed by department SOP’s or protocols.
- Performs other job duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of related work experience in quality assurance is preferred
- 2+ years of formal education is preferred
- A bachelor's or associate's level college degree is preferred
- Experience with manufacturing and process lines
- Experience with forklifts and other industrial equipment
- Possess the ability to complete specific assignments that must be accomplished under considerable time pressure
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and have the ability to find errors in documentation
- Must have the ability to data mine and accurately produce spreadsheets, charts, and graphs
- Work equally well individually or in a team situation.
- Be able to follow and give high regard to safety rules and housekeeping procedures.
- Very knowledgeable in computer software such as Microsoft Office products, Office 365, and Google Docs
- SAP knowledge is preferred
- Pass pre-employment screening
