Job Description

Starting Pay: $19.25

  • Operate slitting machinery to process raw material into finished products according to production specifications.
  • Understand and safely STOP the slitting equipment under normal conditions as well as during emergencies.
  • Set up the machine using Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and ensure correct settings for each production run.
  • Use computerized systems to configure run conditions and make adjustments within SOC as necessary.
  • Perform line start-up, monitoring, and shut down, ensuring all operations comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Safely operate all equipment in the slitting process, including handling of materials, blades, and precision tools.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training documents to ensure efficiency and safety during operations.
  • Complete production reports and logs accurately, ensuring all slitting activity is documented for traceability.
  • Consistently conduct quality checks on finished goods, utilizing lab equipment to test and adjust settings to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required for troubleshooting and adjusting slitting machinery.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must follow all safety guidelines and demonstrate sound judgment in safety and quality decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written (email) and verbal, are necessary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to ensure continuous production.
  • Must be able to work overtime if required to meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for long periods, and use hand tools and stairs as needed for job functions.
  • Full-time position with potential overtime when necessary.
