Job Description

- Provides customer services relating to sales, sales promotions, installations and communications - Ensures that good customer relations are maintained, and customer claims and complaints are resolved fairly and effectively, and in accordance with the consumer laws - Develops organizationwide initiatives to proactively inform and educate customers - Develops improvement plans in response to customer surveys

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer invoices daily.
  • Save pick lists to appropriate sales orders daily.
  • Process customer inquiries, quotes, and orders received via phone and email within the same day of receipt.
  • Generate the customer back-order report daily to ship received back orders and to identify overdue parts to be expedited.
  • Prepare required documentation for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Issue and process customer RMA’s (return material authorization) when necessary.
  • Generate the batch report daily to identify parts available to pull from inventory to complete batches.
  • Pull parts from inventory that are required to complete items for batches.

Key Responsibilities Continued

  • Perform necessary transactions in Oracle. 
  • Assemble parts and kits that are made-in-house.  Work collectively with internal departments such Engineering, Service, Sales, etc. to resolve customer inquiries and issues.
  • Ability to act as backup support to assist with the daily inventory cycle counts.
  • Ability to act as backup support to the shipping/receiving clerk, when necessary, by pulling, packing, and shipping customer orders within the same day of receipt.
  • Ability to act as backup support to the shipping/receiving clerk, when necessary, by receiving parts within the same day of receipt.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Customer-service oriented with good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to assist both internal and external customers in a busy team environment by taking initiative, being strongly proactive, and decisive under minimal supervision.
  • Ability and understanding of prioritization based on business goals and customer needs.  
  • Organized and detail oriented with the capability of performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Safe handling of spare parts, machinery, and materials. 
  • Knowledge and experience with inventory control and warehouse experience (inventory cycle counting, order fulfilment, shipping and receiving).
  • Knowledge and experience with inventory management systems software (specifically Oracle).
  • Ability to assemble and kit items that are made-in-house.

Desired Skills and Experience Continued

  • Knowledge and experience with parcel delivery companies (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience with freight forwarder companies (FedEx Freight, TForce Freight, Dayton Freight, etc).
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to frequently work independently.
  • A positive and friendly attitude willing to go above and beyond daily. 
  • Punctual and dependable.
