Job Description

Receive and evaluate the overall condition of used machinery.  Dismantle, analyze, and repair all parts, electronic components, and castings to determine reusability in the reconstruction of machinery to meet customer order specifications.  Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair all electro-mechanical components.  Coordinate the associated   functions required to maintain parts availability, accountability, and to ensure proper delivery.   Maintain knowledge of all APS product lines.  

Job Description Cont.
  • Work closely with Factory Service to secure repaired parts and to rectify problems with older machinery and technology.
  • Rebuild machinery to current APS specifications and to customer orders, test for proper operation to ensure the highest level of customer productivity and to minimize downtime.
  • Dismantle machinery and evaluate parts and electronics to assess reusability, and repair and restore to new condition those parts that are salvageable; make all necessary repairs, which could include fabrication and laminate refinishing.
  • Procure various related supplies to ensure timely restoration of equipment, maintain proper inventory sheets and logs for parts used and machines shipped to account for machine costs and inventory control.  Work with purchasing to send out items for outside processing.
  • Assemble new equipment as required to ensure on time deliver to customers (Pacesetter line).  
  • Two years minimum related work experience; technical/trade school certification a plus
  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of electrical/electronics
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment and make necessary repairs/upgrades
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques
  • Knowledge of rebuilding techniques
  • Strong pc skills
  • Strong interpersonal/communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read schematics and work without proper equipment drawings/rev levels or work instructions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Reliability and dependability are a must
