Position Summary:

The Quality Control Auditor is responsible for reporting, communicating, and detailing of Global quality documents.  This includes: filing, organizing, training, inspecting, and completing documents via email requests or on an as need basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform inspections and monitoring of materials and products for compliance with Sealed Air policies and procedures, regulatory and industry standards.  These inspections may be the result of critical customer issue, plant to plant transfer, and internal quality issues
  • Determine appropriate disposition based on Sealed Air policies and procedures, regulatory standards, customers’ requirements and current and past performances.
  • Enters and maintains data and documentation of inspections within Smartsheet database system.  Ability to generate and communicate effectively reports and findings to all levels of management utilizing Smartsheet, MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Assists Supervision and production areas with investigations initiated by quality control events. Works with management to plan investigation steps.  Assists with investigations, root cause analysis, creates recommendations for corrective actions and develop reports. Monitors for effectiveness.
  • Assists in providing training to site quality auditors.  Willing to cross-train in other QC functional areas.
  • Engage in capabilities studies and tests administered by engineering and quality management.
  • Provides support for regulatory site audits such as ISO, PFS, and customers’ audits. 

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Level I: 0-3 years of experience, Level II: 3-5 years of experience, Level III: more than 5 years of experience
  • Interacts well with others spanning from production personnel to management.
  • Beginner knowledge/skills in Excel, SAP, SmartSheet and MS Word.

Job Description

- Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions - Conducts nondestructive examination (NDE) and quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards - Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards - Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards
