Factory Service Technician

Shift- 7:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday

Job Description

Perform duties involving the repair of electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies and components returned by customers.  Construct and repair special test equipment for testing assemblies and sub-assemblies.  Interface with machinery production, customer service, spare parts, engineering and field service personnel.

Perform a wide variety of duties involved in visual inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies, and printed circuit boards.  Ensure functional integrity and proper operation of the repaired items for the company’s line of specialized products.

Advise and consult with proper supervision of serious problems encountered.  Assist in the design or modification of in-house testing equipment.  Provide suggestions and recommendations to resolve or avoid reoccurrence of problems or improve product performance.

Record time, production, test data or other required information in system.  Report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operation and unusual condition to supervision.

Work from blueprints, specifications, checklists, oral or written instruction.  Use measuring equipment and specialized test equipment.

Adhere to company policies, including plant-wide static reduction.  Maintain all work areas and equipment used in a clean and orderly condition. Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.
