Job Description

 

Manage, train and facilitate the Spare Parts SBU to ensure customer satisfaction and responsiveness, as they apply to Spare Parts and assemblies for machines and equipment.  Insure proper inventory control methods and techniques for all machine parts and consumable inventories. Budget and plan spending levels for Spare parts SBU, warehousing levels, assembly, and shipping.  Maximize service to our customers both internal and external while minimizing cost and lead times.  

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Analyze pricing and sales margins for parts to maintain effective profitability and cost.                 
  • Coordinate warehousing and shipping to spare parts, assemblies, specials, and ribbons to insure timely availability to internal and external customers. 
  • Implement effective methods and procedures for warehousing, labeling, and shipping of parts, small machines, specials and ribbons at appropriate inventory levels.  To control cost and meet timely delivery.
  • Coordinate work-order, capacity planning to insure maximum labor utilization as well as timeliness on all spare part’s kits and assemblies.
  • Assist in development of all new product wear item listings to ensure proper stocking levels for customer service in the education of CSR’s and customers concerning new parts.   
  • Develop budgeting plan including, where appropriate, cost reduction for all aspects of the Spare Parts SBU to ensure maximum profits by minimizing costs.
  • Makes independent decisions on Spare Parts pricing and coordinating warehouse activities
  • Decides how much inventory is needed to support APS’ service industry.  Makes decisions on pricing, warranties and buy/not buy parts.
     

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business.  
  • 6-10 years in supervision and inventory control; 
  • Understanding of ERP Systems such as SAP
