What does an Equipment Lead, Japan do?

Sealed Air Japan is looking for a motivated and experienced Equipment Lead to join our Commercial Equipment team. The Equipment Lead, located in Tokyo Japan acts as the leader for Japan under ANZJK Equipment team to support and develop the Equipment and Spare Parts businesses contributing to the growth ambition of Sealed Air Corporation. As part of the management team, you will be managing and leading a team of people with specific roles reporting into you, cultivate them to a highly performing engineering team. You are expected to meet customers /suppliers /business partners to understand the business landscape and bring necessary improvement to the Equipment team; targeting to the world class manufacturing.

Why we need you?

  • To use your seasonal experience in manufacturing or packaging industry in a large matrix organization to Manage and lead a team comprises of Systems and Integration Manager (TBA), Food Equipment Business Development Manager, Protective Equipment Business Development Manager and Automation Manager (TBA).
  • To use your Strong business acumen to develop and execute the strategy for achieving and growing revenue from Equipment & Automation and spare parts. Develop / implement systems & integration philosophy to deliver complete solutions rather than just equipment.
  • To use your leadership and people skills to develop and coach the team – ensure high commitment and adequate competency level through regular training, clear goals setting, monitoring of performance and high-level engagement with the team. Collaborate and support Commercial team in promoting or proposing the right equipment / service solutions.
  • Your strong communication skills and bi-lingual language skills in both Japanese and English is essential in acting as the local interface to equipment business partners / suppliers for any equipment and engineering matters and driving regional initiatives, e.g. equipment refurbishment, alternatives, localization, upgrades etc. as well as ensuring Equipment compliance and overseeing process.
