Job Description
The Administrative Intern will be an opportunity to complete several key projects in a local injection molding facility for an international manufacturer. This role will partner with the Management, Engineering, Production, Quality, Safety, Toolroom, and Maintenance Teams. **Pay starting at $20/hr
- Coordinate and assist with multiple assembly machine, injection molding press, ancillary equipment and facility improvements to occasionally include light fabrication tasks
- Assist with safety and PPE signage in manufacturing operations
- Create and edit work instructions including, as needed, video instructions for various technical tasks
- Assist with and coordinate 5S work area improvements
- Assist with preventative maintenance planning for equipment
- Update facility shared drive files and clean up duplicates as needed
- Create customized training modules for online safety training resource
- Optimize Toolroom and Maintenance Shop parts inventory systems
- Participate in safety audits, update safety work instructions
- Participate in training programs and advocate for proactive safety actions
- Other duties as directed
Qualifications
Education
High school Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Experience
Progression in collegiate program preferably in manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering
Specific skills
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required
Ability to walk, climb steps and stand in place for several hours throughout the course of the day
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Equipment/machinery experience and skills
Familiarity with using hand tools, small power tools preferred
Preferred Computer experience
Advanced computer skills to include Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint (MS Access preferred)
