Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Auditor is an integral part of ensuring our products meet customer expectations.  The Quality Assurance Auditor will help by monitoring critical to quality process parameters and product tolerances as well as ensure their shift is culturally aligned and engaged to our Quality program requirements, standards, and specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•    Conducts audits across defined areas to assure conformance to key processes and/or product quality requirements are followed and complies to requirements, including food safety (SQF).
•    Performs Quality test equipment inspections and validations.
•    Monitors quality system processes (positive release, document control, control of non-conforming materials, deviation process, etc) and ensures compliance.
•    Assists with non-conforming containment events (impounds) to ensure suspect material is properly contained, segregated, and controlled.
•    First line responder / online operator assistance.
•    Initiates and/or participates 5-Why or root cause investigations.
•    Completes customer requested certificates of analysis (COA)
•    Monitors and lends disposition support of non-conforming materials.
•    Communicates customer return and/or Quality scrap information to their shift.
•    Assists with trial studies and investigation fact gathering.
•    Additional Duties as determined by Quality Leadership.

Physical

•    Able to safely move and manipulate material for inspection or impound.
•    Frequent use of cutting devices to remove material from rolls for sample collection.
•    Long hours of standing and/or walking.  Climbing of stairs required.

Other requirements

•    Must be able to use a tape measure and other Quality testing devices.
•    Required to use technology (electronic mobile devices, PCs), SAP, and application-based programs.
•    Documentation skills, attention to detail, adept at reporting results.
•    Be an objective critical thinker with good investigative and error-spotting skills.
•    Capable of creating reports using various tools and applications is a plus.
•    Exhibits professionalism in stressful situations.
•    Effective communicator.
•    Customer centric.
•    Can manage time effectively.
•    Can operate effectively without direct oversight.
